- At least five (5) years experience in coating inspection and has completed Coating Inspection
- Training in preparation for NACE certification. Perform monitoring, inspection and coordination of various pipeline projects within the scope of our contract, to ensure quality and integrity of the project, with the particular interest of minimizing deviations from compliance with coating regulations and recommending corrective action on deviations that are found.
- To review the applicable paint system compatibility.
- To initiate the qualification of the Sand Blasters/Painters for client approval. Review, modify (if necessary), and approve method statements of painting application.
- To ensure the readiness of the QA/QC requirements are met before start of
- Full understanding of the various coating application systems and methods.
- To initiate Inspection requests for client’s monitoring inspections.
- To ensure the calibration/validation of Sand Blasting/Painting Equipment, tools etc. To monitor the Air Temperature, Dew Point, Relative Humidity – and take corrective action, including stop work, if conditions are not satisfactory.
- To inspect via Wet Film Thickness and/or Dry Thickness Film methods by using the
relevant inspection tools.
- Understand and supervise Holiday Testing use and calibration of equipment used to inspect coating on pipelines.
- To prepare the inspections reports, internal NCR’s etc.
- Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.
